Senior Director, Marketing Web

April 2017 - Present

Manage 12-person web development team responsible for design, UX design & development, web content management, SEO, and analytics for 50+ customer-facing digital properties (EBSCO.com, support, int’l sites, microsites, sales apps).

  • Managing all aspects of the web experience for five verticals and 15 product lines (8MM sessions/yr). Lead collaborations with product marketing, creative, social, and email teams as a senior marketing leader for a $2B B2B organization.

  • Work closely with customer support, product management, and marketing teams on brand architecture, site integrations, localization strategy, user experience, and digital asset management for B2B and B2C websites .

  • Key driver of the MarTech  stack to optimize digital marketing and align technical decisions for customer benefit; includes automation (Marketo), web content management (Drupal/Acquia), SEO (Moz/AWR) and asset management.

  • Designed processes for workflow management, internal communications, content inventory, site architecture, domain strategy, and measuring success; reduced delivery timelines 30% by spearheading KanBan / Agile within Marketing.

  • Active industry involvement: UXPA Boston, Acquia Engage, Hubspot Inbound, and Marketo Marketing Nation. 

 

Key Accomplishments:

  • Guided the extensive overhaul of the corporate website – including redesign / development, enterprise web content management migration, new hosting services, and full localization strategy. Planned expansion to global markets FY18 and beyond.

  • Led a cross-functional team through planning and execution of new B2C model for EBSCO: individual subscription fulfillment, CRM, and customer support architecture for key partnerships valued at $9MM.

  • Managed the customer support portal development roadmap, integrating advanced functionality including a searchable knowledgebase, CRM case management, & chat bots to enhance the customer experience.

  • Built a central repository for digital marketing assets that provided greater workflow efficiency and field access for Sales.

Director, Marketing Web

2013 - 2017

Built Web Development department from the ground-up into an integrated team of 12 designers, developers, and SEO/Analytics specialists.

  • Identified skill gaps and drove initiatives to hire and onboard a high-performing web department.

  • Transitioned and redesigned 15 international websites from SharePoint to a new platform; devised localization and translation strategy enabling global marketing teams to contribute market-specific content while remaining on-brand.

  • Produced web applications enabling sales teams to access and customize product collateral within the WCMS.
